Countries: Benelux, Scandinavia and Finalnd

Introduction
The Dücker Group is market leader in the field of materials handling and internal logistics for the paper and corrugated industry, particularly in the key markets of Europe, North America and Asia.

Reel Handling
The order lengths on the corrugator, the increased number of widths and quality improvements require more and more sophisticated reel handling. To ensure the speed of the corrugator, an efficient reel handling system is necessary. The Dücker Group offers a wide range of systems, from reel infeed lines into the corrugator up to complete automatic reel handling including transfer cars, turntables, reel preparation systems and reel storage software

Corrugator Take-off
Whatever corrugator is installed, the take-off system after the corrugator is crucial in terms of the speed of the corrugator. The Dücker Group has specialized in this field and delivers different systems from simple pallet pushers up to fully automatic transfer car systems.

Each project needs a specific solution depending on the maximum speed of the corrugator, the flute mix and the production mix. The amount of double wall production is the most important factor in the calculation of the system. We are able to calculate and to show in practice all kinds of systems for all possible solutions.

Machine Infeed and Evacuation
By means of the modular-designed conveyor system of the Dücker Group, the logistics can be connected to the existing handling systems: the infeed line, with or without pallet handling, shuttle or transfer car, to the prefeeder or directly to the infeed section for manual insertion at the converting machines. The evacuation of the converting machines to the transfer car is carried out by a Stabiltrack® conveyor system with or without pallets. Due to its own automation department, Dücker is able to connect the existing logistic and software systems with each other.

Intermediate Storage
In most of the cases, a buffer between the corrugator and converting machines is necessary in order to “match” these two processes. Over the years, the logistic principle has changed from “pushing” (the corrugator determines the production) to “pulling” (the converting machines determine the production). Nowadays, a very flexible intermediate storage is necessary so that the requirements of the following production can be met. In general, the order length is becoming shorter and shorter, and the just-in-time principle is more a rule than an exception. The Dücker Group develops a range of technical solutions, each of them in very close contact with the customer. The intermediate store is designed according to the available space, number and type of the converting machines, flute mix, stack height etc. Also two-level storage is possible which has already proven itself in practice.

Sheet Line
Both in the so-called integrated box plants (corrugator and converting) and the sheet feeders (only corrugator), the sheet line is an essential element of the logistic system.

Finished Goods
After converting, the decision has to be made if the goods are to be palletized after each converting machine and transported with pallets to a strapper and/or wrapping machine or if the finished goods are directed without pallets to a central palletizer. To guarantee high speed and efficiency of the converting process it is essential that the finished goods are transported very efficiently so that there is no loss in speed. Each finish goods system is customised. The Dücker Group has the experience as well as the soft- and hardware to advise you in detail about these complex issues.

Plastic Chain Conveyors
The modular Stabiltrack® plastic chain conveyor system distinguishes itself by features like cost effectiveness and performance, whether these conveyors are used for work-in-progress storage or finished goods transport. The Dücker Group offers perfect solutions on all levels of materials handling. The flat and straight surface of the Stabiltrack® conveyor system increases the operator safety avoiding sheet walk and damage of the bottom sheets at the same time.

Control System
The ASCOR automation and visualisation system offers complete transparency of all production processes. Due to real time data, the operator can continuously monitor all converting machines. Waste sheets are controlled. A controlled information flow makes sure that all participants receive an update. If you apply ASCOR modules you obtain complete information from the infeed of each reel up to the dispatch – and this without any operator error.
